Oh, just this morning i gobbled a whole can of portuguese sardines in olive oil with sourdough baguette pieces from the artisan bakery down the road. I wasn't sure if it was breakfast or brunch. Nothing quite... but it was deeply satisfying.
(I throw a pinch of salt, a dash of pepper and squeezed a bit of lemon on the sardines to round the flavor).
Oh Lin, your lunch looks absolutely delicious!
ReplyDeleteToday, for lunch, I ate Portuguese tuna with a broccoli pancake.
broccoli pancake! how interesting! how was it?
ReplyDeleteThe brocc pancake was so yummy. It's a Dr. Praeger product.
ReplyDeletei remember years ago a recipe card from Tesco: toasted country bread with portuguese sardines in olive oil.... simple sunday lunch... oh so good! :)
